A Steady Increase in Bing Search Percentage

Microsoft’s promotions and efforts to increase their search percentage seems to be paying off ever since they launched bing in June 2009. The company experienced steady increase in the percentage of users in the US markets in the past couple of months.

Bing had a search share of 10.7 percent in the beginning of the year, i.e Jan 2010. The search share increased to 11.5 percent in Feb. Yahoo, who is in the second spot, lost its share from 17 to 16.8 percent. However, the search master Google is still enjoying the lead and rose from 65.4 to 65.5 percentage. Google takes every things that gets their way.
No doubt upgraded Bing must be one of the biggest reasons for their success. According to the latest reports the company is also ready to make few more adjustments for better results. The company also said that they are taking significant efforts to improve the search based on the real time information.
Bing is planning to launch a new feature that will allow the user to search particular sites for some specific information. This feature will be very useful for many users including me. Most popular sites covering the information will also be showed up in the search results based on facebook and twitter results.
