The MacBook has stunning unibody enclosure and great LED display which saves the battery life to a great extent. 13 inch version gets 10 hours of backup and the 15 and 17 inch version gets 8 to 9 hours of backup.
Graphic card enhancements were also done to the MacBook. The 15 and 17 inch versions can automatically toggle between the standard and the Nvidia GeForce GT 330M when required. This enhanced graphic card switching controls saves lot of battery. The GT 3300 graphics processor enhanced the processing core to 48 from 32 which comes from its previous version GeForce 9600M graphic card.
This graphic card switching takes place when an application that requires higher graphics is launched. The graphic card remains active until the applications runs on the MacBook. Interestingly, when the application is turned off the Graphic Card is automatically switched to normal version.
Great control to turn on/ turn off the automatic graphic switching is enabled in the control panel. And finally the 13 inch version of the macbookpro costs $1199, 15 inch and 17 inch versions cost $1799 and $2299 respectively.
