Best 3G Data Cards For Laptop

I have been looking into few 3G data cards for a while now. It’s getting too tough for me to use internet being at a single place in my home. I’m glad that 3G Data cards have finally shownup in India and so its time for me to start my research before I can get one. Here are my current findings about the 3G Data Cards available in different places (Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad) in India. I hope I can update this post with latest information so that you people can get the right one. Please do share your comments if you are using one it can help many people around here.

So, here are the the types of data cards I’m going to talk about.

1: Tata Docomo 3G Data Card

Currently the company offers 3 devices that will allow you to plug and surf internet on the go. Please note that your effective throughput may be different from any numbers you see here. Use this to find your effective throughput of your existing connection.

1-Tata Docomo HSDPA USB Modem, costs around Rs. 1,999. This device gives download speed of 3.6Mbps and the upload speed is 384Kbps.

2-Tata Docomo 3G HSDPA e-stick Data Card with a Price of Rs. 2,600. This device gives a download speed of 7.2 Mbps and 5.76 Mbps upload speed.

3- And finally, Tata Docomo HSPA+ 3G e-stick USB Modem that ranges about Rs. 3,500. With this device you get download speed of 21.6 Mbps and upload speed of 5.76 Mbps.

Tata Docomo 3G Data Card Tariff Plans:

I managed to grab some plans from the internet for you. These plans may be outdated too.

- Rs. 1000 – 5GB – 3.6 Mbps
- Rs. 1,250/- 10 GB – 3.6 Mbps
- Rs. 1,275/- 5GB – 7.2 Mbps
- Rs. 1,500/- 10GB – 7.2 Mbps
- Rs. 2,000/- 15GB – 21.1 Mbps

User Comments:

We have heard some negative comments from the users around the web about the 3D services by tata docomo. They say that the prices are just too high and the coverage is not too good when compared to others. TATA Docomo has to do something really special to get into the market.

3: Airtel 3G Data Card

Airtel has finally entered the 3G industry. I know they are costly, but they have best customer support around. I really love the way they handle the broadband customers. I’ve posted couple of articles recently talking about the specs about the airtel 3G devices. I have not found any user comments yet. Find the links below to find more about airtel 3g data.

• 40 MB Rs 45 with 3 day validity

• 600 MB Rs 450 with 30 day validity
• 2 GB Rs 750 with 30 day validity
