Blackberry Priv may cost 50,000 in India

After a break, blackberry is all set for a dynamic return with its first Android smartphone the brand new Blackberry Priv. This move can be considered as the company’s last attempt to defend itself from the Android-Apple air.

If you live in US Canada or UK, you can grab your brand new Priv by pre-ordering it from the official Blackberry website. Blackberry; which is struggling to sell phones, has kept the price of the phone around $699 in the US, $899 in Canada and around £559 in the UK, which comes in the price category of an iPhone. It is considered as privacy focused smartphone. Blackberry once had ruled the market with its QWERTY keypad cell phones before the rise of Apple and other Android Smartphones is now taking some desperate steps to stay relevant.

Although Blackberry officially didn’t announced any price estimations in India, but according to Gadgets 360, (an Indian import-export zauba) the phone will cost around 50,000 INR in India and has been estimated to launch in mid November.

 Specifications

The all new Blackberry Priv is loaded with Android OS version 5.1.1 lollipop, Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon chipset and a Dual-core 1.8 GHZ Cortex-A57 and Quad-Core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. Primary camera is 18 MP with optical image stabilization, autofocus and dual LED flash, and the secondary camera is 2 MP which is quite less then worthy. 3GB RAM has been provided for a better Android experience with 32Gb internal memory which can be expanded upto 200Gb through microSD. Screen size is 5.4 inches with 1440×2560 pixels of 540 ppi pixel density, AMOLDED capacitive touchscreen has been given with 16M colors depth. A Li-ion 3410mAh battery is been planted in the device for long hours continues use. And a new feature i.e. a QWERTY keyboard is given for better texting experience which seems slightly awkward at the first site but is very convenient to use.
