Bloggers Have Less Memory Power – True | False

By Vamsi 4 Comments | Posted in Tech

A  friend of mine argues with me that bloggers have great memory power when compared to others. He is not a blogger but says that bloggers think a lot to produce great articles and as a result their minds work constantly about something and as a result they are sharp and have great memory power.

My argument is completely different from his, being a blogger I should talk about myself  before talking about somebody else; I used to have a good memory power before I actually started Internet tomorrow way back in may 2008. I lost my memory power gradually and now, at this point I have a very week memory power. I forget my scheduled tasks very often. I don’t have a reason for this but, I’m sure I lost my remembrance power only after becoming a blogger.

Now, lets talk about somebody else!! Pavan who blogs at Techpavan, clamed in one of the interviews given to a Random blog, by mentioning that he too has a very low memory power. Pavan talks about  this for a while as his one of the greatest weakness.

So, I just want to know if this is a general phenomena that happens to every blogger in a course of time or it varies from person to person. Please do help us by commenting right here!! This is something strange topic I am confused to comment on. Indeed my memory power is quite low, but it does not have any relation with blogging. Also my low memory does not mean that I keep forgetting things all the time, it limits itself to a very few number of factors. I forget things which are not important, not recalled or not useful. But if anything is important, my brain is very intelligent to put that in safe non volatile area of memory so that I never forget.

Say for example a programming language. The list of commands is what most important for a programmer. I usually keep the command name in my memory as it is useful at anytime, but not the command syntax which can be easily searched with Google. If you don’t have command name with you, it takes more time to find command name, but if you have command name, finding syntax is a matter of seconds.

Another example is comparison between some important SEO article compared to a newspaper headline. The news headline is gone after 2-3 hours to 1 day, but SEO trick makes its way to long lasting memory part of mine until I decide if it is really worth trying.

What I want to say is human brain is very cautious in preserving some important information and forgetting the less/not needed one.

    Thanks for the comment mate!!

But, I remember reading an article that states – Indian Chess Genies “Viswanathan Anand” often forgets things too often. The statement is given by his wife. Now do you think Anand remember only Counter Chess moves and forgets rest of the things!!
