After the fastened steps of RIM in launching the top tier devices such as BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 or the torch 9 series(9860/9850, Torch 9810). RIM has even put the blackberry curve line into motion with its new launch-The blackberry curve 9360,indicating that this line is also alive in its race and is also going strong. Till date the curve 8900 was a complete luxury in the curve series,since then this line has been a little upsetting but the BlackBerry Curve 9360 once again brought back the charm to this series.

Lets have a glimpse over it…
HARDWARE: The BlackBerry Curve 9360′s hardware has been designed very keenly,keeping intact all the styling we know efficiently packed in a small packaged size.
It’s look is enough for rolling one’s eyes. However, after experiencing the top-tier devices from RIM like BlackBerry Torch 9810 or Bold 9900, it feels a little step back or a degraded state but still its form factor,its build, the sleek and thin look is just charming.
It is of 2.4 inch screen providing a resolution of 480*360 pixels[246 ppi] with dimensions 109*60*11mm weighing just 99 grams. In many cases it resembles the old BlackBerry 8830.
As the name indicates, its form factor is curve and included is the curve keyboard which gives it a much tempting and dynamic look. However, this keyboard is excellent while using it for a short time but if you want to text long texts a little bit difficulty is encountered while using it.
The keys are same as in previous curve series models keypads but the keys are slightly raised giving it a differeneat in hand due to its sleekiness and nicely laid out keyboard which gives it a quite solid and rugged look.
The back panel or you can say the battery cover is a matter of entire plastic, which is little upsetting and even makes it prone to scratches and even the battery insideis made up of a magnet prone to finger prints.
However, the microSD slot and SIM card slot has been provided in a very elegant way,they can be inserted without even removing the battery .
Lets get acquainted with its outer structure quickly…
It is a curve phone not incorporating a touch screen display.
On the rigt hand side of the phone you can locate the standard volume up and down keys with a mute key in between. These keys can be used to control the volume and even move forward or back songs in the list. However, the left side is kept very clean with just a micro USB port, convinient to easily charge phone with it.
Now coming to the bottom, the bottom right of the phone is owned by a programmable convenience key, and at the top of the phone resides button for locking screen accompanied by a 3.55mm headphone jack.
THE INSIDE WORLD:
It is powered by the Tavor MG-1 800MHz processor,which is ofcourse less than the other devices incorporating 1.2 or 1.4 MHz processor’s. But still its no issue at all. Even with that 800 MHz processor it works with great speed. The blackberry 9360 supports Liquid Graphics, it has a GPU and the re-architected graphics pipeline inside it, works wonders. You can notice fast,responsive UI. It also supports OpenGL.
BATTERY: The most instantly noticable thing about the new BlackBerry Curve 9360 is the extreme small size of its battery. It incorporates a E-M1 battery(1000MaH)
RIM states the battery life as follows:
UTMS talk time: upto 5hrs,standby up to 12 days
GSM talk time: upto 5hrs,standby upto 14 days
audio playback time: upto 25 hours
video playback time: upto 6 hours
CAMERA: It owns a 5 mega pixel EDoF camera, and renders videos like 480p shot at 640*840 resolution. Ofcourse not HD videos but still not that bad too.
NFC[ near field communication]: It supports NFC[ near field communication] which is a short range wireless technology nearly 4cm or less ,that allows two devices to communicate.
It also supports Bluetooth ,GPS-on board, Wi-Fi 802 b/g/n for data connectivity. However, there is an absense of wifi hotspot.

Altogether, Summing up ….it is a high featured phone packed into a slim ,sleek and ultimately cost-effective form factor.
