Buy Gadgets at Cheaper Price – Zapstore
Earlier this month, I met this guy called Gokulraj who happened to be the COO of a start-up online gadget store called zapstore. Gokul along with his friend Balaji Gopalan (CEO of Zapstore) launched this company very recently introducing a brand new concept called Zapping. Now, zapping allows users to buy different products for cheaper price (very cheaper price, sometimes) than that of the normal MRP price.

The chennai based company sells different kinds of gadgets which includes mobile phones, music players, tablets, cameras and gadget accessories.
While we were talking, Gokul explained me how their store is different when compared to other eCommerce stores around. At zapstore, a user can directly purchase a product using INSTA purchase for a fixed MRP price like other shopping stores but what makes zapstore unique is their new zapping concept.
Instead of purchasing the product directly, users can now click on “Zap It” button on the product page to see a random price tag for that product. Once the price is revealed, he/she gets 10 seconds to buy the product. If the user is happy to buy the product with price tag shown, then he/she can proceed with the purchase by clicking on the “buy it” button. Check out the following video to understand how to zap.
Zapping can drop the price of the product for upto 80% or even more. The percentage of price drop varies from zap to zap. Now, a user is allowed to zap on a product only if he/she has zap points. Zap points can be purchased at zapstore starting from as low as 30 rupees. Zapstore also supports cash on delivery system too. Unfortunately, customer from outside india can’t take advantage of this.
Gokul also mentioned that they offer different kinds of discounts for zap packs, you can follow their facebook page to check out the discounts they offer (just do a google search for “zapstore facebook” and you should find them). It was a very good chat with gokul and I wish him and his friend (Balaji Gopalan) all success with zapstore.
