Facebook has been facing several piracy issues over past few months and here is twist in the tale. News is spreading on the internet that large social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace are involved in sending the user data to some advertising companies. The data includes real name and personal information also said Wall Street Journal.

Now, questions were being asked by Wall steet Journal and both the social sites (Facebook and Myspace) started making changes to their site, reported WSJ.

Advertising companies are given access to the personal details that include real name, age, hometown and occupation.
Apart from Facebook, LiveJournal, Hi5, Xanga and Digg are other list of sites that pass information to the users as stated by Mashable. This is a very serious issue a user should think about before starting to Sign up for social networking site.
