Google Caffeine Search Engine Factors
Google Caffeine, the next generation search engine from Google is ready to swing the web world after this festival season. It’s a well known fact that Google doesn’t want to upset the Internet marketers in this holiday period by implementing Google caffeine in full flow. Experts believe that the new algorithm involves some complex mathematical calculations to rank website and blogs including yours if you have any. Now here is a list of some crucial factors that might affect Page rank and SERP results of your site.

Loading time of your website/blog:
Google is indeed the leader in the search engine market for some time now, so far they did exceedingly well in producing great search results to their users. The search leader is planning to keep them much happier by exhibiting results of the websites that load much faster than before, this way Google is not only providing the information users wanted, they are giving it faster than before. If you are webmaster, make sure your website loads faster than before, this practice might come handy in the longer run.
Age of your domain:
The longer your domain is active, the better Rankings you have. Well, if you believe the above statement, then you might end up with an egg on your face. In fact this is partially true, few domains rank higher because of the link popularity they get in the past. Not all the domains achieve good reputation during their life cycle, so it’s good to understand what “age of the domain” in reality means. So, the age of a domain is not always equal to the age of a website; you better keep this in mind. Your website may be active for some time, but it doesn’t have any relation with the domain u are using. The domain might have a good/bad background in the past and that reputation can always affect your website.
Top level domain gets higher priority:
Search engines give good priority to the TLD (.com, .org, .net etc) of your domain. To be true it also depends on the geographical location of the search query. It’s always a good practice to use a top level domain to get traffic from all over the world. However, the domains that include co.us, co.uk, co.in etc can come handy to a specific geographical location of the search query.
Location of the server:
Location of server affects only the SERP results of a page not the Page rank of a website/blog. It’s always good to have a server with good up-time and down time which is also one of the critical factors in ranking the web-page. It’s good to choose a local web hosting company with good up-time and downtime for better SERP results.
Proper structure and Code:
A good structured webpage with proper coding can always help you rank high in SERP results and can improve your page rank. I see large number of websites that doesn’t have perfect coding structure, but still rank high, who knows a website with a perfect code might rank even higher. You can track the errors in your code here.
Drop in backlinks, change in trends:
Drop in backlinks happens to bloggers most of the time. Did you notice “Top commentators” plug in the wordpress blogs. The plugin displays the links of the authors who made the highest number of comments in a particular week or month. Search engines consider those links as high priority links because; the link is obtained from the home page of the blog. As time goes by there is always a chance that your link disappears from the blog’s home page resulting in backlinks drop, this type of practice can sometimes end you in pain.
Previous penalty on the site:
How many times your website/blog got penalized in Google? If the number is too high, I’m afraid then your track record is bad enough to give you a spammer flag. Few people believe that this factor can affect your PR in the long run.
Visitors from Search Engines:
The more visitors you get from search engines, the more reputation you’re gathering from them. This is the measure of trust and relevancy of your webpage is assembling for a particular keyword search. So try to stick to the point you mentioned in the title of each and every webpage for better click through rate from Google search results.
Hope the list helped you, any comments and suggestions are very much appretiated. Let me know if I’m missing any points.
