Google Pagerank Update Not Convincing

Google updated the pagerank very recently just before the new year 2010. There are people who got promoted and on the other hand there are people whose pagerank stood still without any tumble. India 365 was promoted to PR1 and I should say that the upgrade didn’t convince me that much.

I worked really hard waiting for the upgrade to come and fetch me a good PR. People often say that “Something is better than nothing” but my heart says “Nothing is better than nonsense“. Yes, this pagerank almost looks like nonsense to me for the work I’ve done for the past few months. It’s a fact that I didn’t comment too much to get back links but I did the rest of process very well, that should at least fetch me an appropriate PR but it didn’t.
I know there are many people out there who are disappointed with the PR update, please share your thoughts with us.

You should not blame Google. You unable to get good backlink. You have overall 24 backlink and that too come from 3 site and the majority of the link http://www.earth-org.com which itself is PR3, how much link juice you expect from it. If you care about PR then work hard to get good backlink and try to understand PR logic.
Agree with Arafat and rest of the work is different when u see in PageRank view.. the more u get backlinks with a better PR the best your blog PR will be.. so try and work on getting some good backlinks..
Dont worry friend… Work hard next time to get backlink for your blog. This will surely increase your PR.. My blog also got a updation to PR 1….

I agree with those guys (Arafat, Rajesh and Deepika), you need to work more on getting a lot of backlink from others. It’s never too late and you can start it from now
I Agree with all the guys above Work hard & one day again u will get a winning chance from Google. I lost 2 Page Rank in starting and now I am standing at PR 4 from Last 6 months

To me, it is very convincing and that is why it exists for quite a long time now and almost bloggers need high PR then.
For PR, I waited last year from July until Oct., but little or no difference in biz. I think IM/IT bloggers may need PR more than most, but with the general public. I argue it’s that big of a factor anymore, but may be different with localities.
