India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2016:

Today, is the day when cricketing titans clash against each other to accomplish one mission for one cricketing glory, a World Cup. India will face New Zealand in their opening 2016 T20 World Cup game but all eyes are on India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup game that will be played later this month.

The two teams have a descent lineup; Although India has a better line up, and a slightly stronger team, you never know what can happen in the T20 version of the game. And the world cup in particular.

But certainly, the most awaited match between India and Pakistan which was part of controversies will now held at Eden Gardens on March 19. The match which is more important to the fans than the world cup itself. Earlier the match was to be held at Dharamshala but shifted to Kolkata for security purposes.   Audience is now all set to watch one of the most intense cricket match in the tournament.  It should be noted that the Pakistanis has never lost a match at the Eden Gardens. Both the squads are ready to pump up the heat in the match.

Lets talk about the hosting team first. Observing the form of the team, India can be one of the toughest opponents to any team during the tournament. The hosting team knows the conditions better than anyone else as the matches are being organized at home. Talking about the strength;  MS Dhoni, Virat kohli, Rohit sharma, Jadeja are in good form before the tournament started but after the first game against New Zealand their form in in serious doubt.

Its just one game though but India could really bounce back at any point.

Players had played lots of IPL which is a plus point for the team. Batting is one of their all time strength which comes to home grounds is the cherry on the top. They have got one of the finest finisher in the world in the name of MS Dhoni, Dhoni  has been one of  the greatest Captain India has ever had. Kohli’s consistency will help team India in their way to success, Kohli holds the title of being one of the best T20 batsman by having the highest average of 44.

The Indian vice captain has the potential to handle the pressure with ease.  Rohit Sharma and Suresh raina are two of the destructive batsman India have, both the batsman have the talent to set fire to the bowlers.  The spinners group looks very good with having Ashwin and Jadeja in the squad with one part time spinner as Raina. The fresh talent of the team, yes its hardik pandya is ruling the field with his bowling as well  batting  skills. The Indian cricket team looks a complete Squad to rule the game. And of course they have got the craziest crowd on their side.

India vs Pakistan – Talking about Pakistan Squad.

Pakistan is being called the Dark Horse of the tournament as they come out at the least when they are expected. The Raw element in the playing is worth watching. The Pakistan cricket team is Unpredictable. Their Gladiator of the Rome Afridi has been good in the T20’s. Bowling has never been the issue to the team as well the batting is the strength. Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal  can perform really good but depending on the condition, both the players have potential to play hard when  team needs them. Form of shoab Malik is a good sign to the team, Hafeez and Malik are consistent to the Asian conditions. One cannot ignore the presence of the team.

Looking at the stats the Pakistan cricket team has won 12 Test matches out of 59 whereas India won 9, Pakistan won 72 ODI matches out of 127, whereas India won 51 but the stats of T20s are exactly opposite out of 7 meetings India won 5 matches whereas Pakistan won 1.

Overall, the format is T20, as the overs get less the diffidence of  quality between the sides  become less, one or two overs can change the game.
