India’s tour of Zimbabwe

After the loss against Bangladesh, India will play 3 ODI’s along with 2 T20I matches in the capital city of Zimbabwe.

India’s tour of Zimbabwe Match Schedule

The first ODI match will start on July 10th 2015, second on July 12th 2015, followed by the third on July 14th 2015.

The T20I matches will start on 17th July 2015 and second on 19th July 2015.

Ajinkya Rahane as the Indian Captain


Major players in Indian cricket have been rested for the India’s tour of Zimbabwe 2015. Players like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin will be out of the series but the big news is that – Ajinkya Rahane will lead the team for the 3 ODI’s and 2 T20I’s.

Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and Umesh Yadav are some of the keyplayers missing for the tour while players like Harbhajan Singh, Murali Vijay, Manoj Tiwary, Kedar Jadhav, Robin Uthappa and Karn Sharma are those who are called into the Indian national side.

With out India having their full time captain, Dhoni, India also lacks a wicket keeper. Uthappa or Rayudu are likely to take on with the big gloves to keep the wickets in the Zimbabwe tour which is likely played with the new rules in place.
