Indian Premier League will start in 4 weeks time from now. The Schedule for IPL 2016 is recently released and its live now. In IPL 2016 we may witness some high class cricket, particularly after playing the t20 world cup 2016 all national players are expected to be in great form.

Individually speaking, I’ve been following the league from the starting year; And this year we expect some high drama in the league with the appearance of two new teams coming on board, after CSK and RR teams getting themselves kicked out of the tournament for some random reasons.

If you look at highest partnerships by runs chart of the IPL (All seasons included), there is at least one Indian player included in almost all the great partnerships. V Kholi along with AB de Villiers heards the chart with 215 runs not out partnership in a RCB vs Mumbai Indians game held on 10th May 2015. Both the players are unbeaten in the game.

The list also includes players like Gilchrist, Marsh, Gayle, David Warner, Ojha, Gibbs, Rohit Sharma, Dilshan, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and many others. Checkout the facts and figures in the screen shot below.

Chris Gayle on the hand has a unique record of hitting most number of 6’s in a single match. That’s 17 in a single match when he scored 175 in a single match. Its not just the highest score in IPL, its highest score in any T20 cricket. Gayle also has maximum number of 100’s in IPL.

Fact2:

Dhoni is the only captain to have searved his franchise for all seasons continuously. 

MS Dhoni is a genuine cricketer. He motivates the team to win matches and is so loyal to his franchise. The captain of the Indian national team (the men in blue) has been so loyal to CSK and has been the captain of CSK in all seasons of IPL.

Fact 3:

You will either see KKR or MI in every opening match of IPL seasons that has happened so far. IPL 2016 features MI in the first match against RPS. KXIP have never been featured in the 1st game of IPL in any season so far.

You may have seen Shikhar Dhawan with the bat but guess what, Shikhar Dhawan the SRH captain can bowl too. In IPL 2011 and IPL 2012, Dhawan had bowled for as many as 8 overs and had picked up 4 wickets as well.

Fact 5:

Who is the player with maximum number of runs in a single IPL Season? And which team is he playing for this season?

Well, the anwser is quite simple, its Mike Hussey who scored 733 runs in IPL 6 season. Unfortunately, he is not picked by any teams this season.

Fact 6: 

Orange cap is awarded to player who scored maximum number of runs in the tournament. If you watch closely, there are very few Indian players who bagged the cap. Sachin Tendulkar and robin Uthappa are the only Indian players who bagged the cap in all versions of IPL.

Harbhajan Singh is very well know for this dhusra. But do you know that the man has an over all strike rate of 149.89 strike rate in all IPL seasons. 112.00 is his lowest strike rate registered in 2014 IPL season and highest being 176 in IPL 2008. Ya, this man can hit.
