Blogging is just like preparing your own offline magazine. You have to work hard in the beginning to gather some information and publish them once you have sufficient information and market all the copies you have after printing them.
Once the first copy is ready, your focus should shift to market the copy that was published. I know u will not have sufficient resources to market your blog in the earlier phases, but you have to do all the work for yourself. You are the one who should control every character in your blog – author, publisher, marketer and public relations. That’s the way it should be done and that’s the only area where most of the bloggers fail.
Why most bloggers fail?
They produce great content, publish them but fail to market them and maintain public relations or vice versa. This happens to most of the bloggers. Bloggers fail to market their blog because they don’t know the best place to market it instead they use shotgun tactics and market their blog with bloggers around them which is not that useful in the longer run. No planning and no process at all.
So, How to market a blog?
To build traffic to your blog you have to work and work hard than yesterday. Remember, your blog is your baby and you are the mother and father for it, you are the only one who should look after it, respect that fact first.
Secondly, no one is going to look at your blog if there is nothing useful out there; there is no doubt about that. Just like a Magazine, building traffic to a blog starts with creating some good content which is worth reading. Don’t just think of writing something to attract visitors, write something interesting, and write something great or amazing to attract visitors.
Once your blog is ready to kick off, start asking your friends to visit your blog and ask them to visit often. If you succeed in producing great content people are looking for, then they should certainly visit back again. Make sure you maintain the quality, if you do so I guarantee the visitors. You can also try commenting on other blog, writing guest articles, forums signatures to gather more and more traffic to your blog, but do remember that the whole concept depends only upon the quality of your articles, nothing else matter that much at least until you succeed.
Be consistent and produce great content, you should taste the smell of success very shortly.

One have to be consistent when thinking about professional blogging. I saw many blogger in their new days use worst design, try to cover every news, ever thing they see and at the end they get frustrated because a single person can’t do that much job. One have to plan his/her job before landing in blogging field. This is very crowded world and you have to be unique to make other see you. Now its upto you how you want to give other opportunity to see you.
I am a father and I will try my best to feed my baby the best food. In terms of blog marketing, do not write it for yourself, write it for your readers
@ Gurpreet, Comments is not the end of the game. There are lot more things involved to build traffic.

@ Rajesh. The post is mainly intended for beginners, most people don’t know anything about social networking and stuff. So I just wanted to keep things simple.
