PARITOSH : How many times have you seen a guy doing something totally different (unknown) from his area of interest ?
None……
Well meet me then. I am Paritosh, an undergraduate from du, pursuing B.com from one of the top college in Delhi. I am a blogger by chance. I had never thought of being one until i accidental read about blogging via a casual Google search. Since then i started my own blogspot blog, bought domain name, learned to install wordpress, bought hosting, etc. Though none of this is going to help me as a commerce graduate but still Its been a learning period for me.
RAHUL : I am Rahul Garg, pursuing B.com from Delhi university. I am not a regular at my college because I have a business (electronics) of my own. At 20 I don’t say that I have accomplished something but I can definitely say I have experienced a lot which is very helpful for one’s growth.
Interview:
1: Describe yourself in two sentences if possible in one.(Small & simple test for ur vocabulary)
A: PARITOSH : Aberrant & cordial
B: RAHUL : Well I am a pagan or you can say a cousin of Satan but a pacifist by nature. I abhor all worldly pleasures but money. So this was up for my vocabulary quotient and myself.
2: URL of your Blog or Website gives out a brief outline for it.
A: PARITOSH : Am co-owner of Techvorm, www.techvorm.com . We write about anything related to technology, software, wordpress, blogging, mobile tips, offers (online).
B: RAHUL : Tech-Vorm basically means something for tech-savvy people, it’s a blog that covers various general fields relating to computers, internet, technology, etc. We don’t go to the bottom line of a topic or say we don’t provide any special information but discuss general and handy information.
3: What is your typical workday as a blogger? (Try to be a bit explanatory)
A: PARITOSH : Since i am a part time blogger there is no fixed schedule for me. Usually i access wordpress dashboard in the evening when i am relaxing. However there are days when i don’t even do that ! Also i check digital point forum to see if anyone is interested in buying ad space on my blog (Trying to generate some money…).
B: Rahul : To be honest I don’t get enough time for blogging but I usually access my mails and my dashboard in the morning and I spend my evenings searching for new and latest content for my blog.
4: Tell me about the time you had a conflict with your blog (Don’t say that you never had any conflict, every blog should have a turning point). How did you handle it?
A: PARITOSH : There were actually 2 situations when i thought of giving up blogging, once when i had a quarrel with my close friend Rahul (co-owner of Techvorm) – we talked over it and he came up with a common solution ; and second when I thought, i was working too much (for the blog) & the share i got wasn’t satisfactory ( I would call this negative point of working in partnership) – frankly speaking there isn’t a solution for this, sometimes he will feel this way and sometimes i will. All those who are planning to start blogging in partnership with someone make sure you distribute income on performance basis i.e posts basis or something like that.
B: Rahul : Both of the conflicts are mentioned above.
5: Talk something about your daily routine.
A: PARITOSH : I had rather skip this one as mine is the same as that of a regular college goer. So am not gonna bore you.
B: Rahul : My daily routine becomes hectic sometimes, it includes visiting banks, raw material (electronics) purchases, office work (managing accounts and staff) and lastly blogging.
6: Do u prefer being a professional blogger?(Yes/No) Please give a proper reason for either of the cases.
A: PARITOSH : Being a problogger is not an easy task. It required full time devotion. Besides blogging for me is just a hobby. For the time being am not that serious about it.
B: Rahul : No for now since I don’t think I have the right skills for becoming a professional blogger. But I am thinking to pursue some computer courses which may help me to become a bit professional and to take this work more effectively and efficiently.
7: What do you like to do in your spare time other than blogging?
A: PARITOSH : Funny question for me keeping in mind i do blogging in spare time only
B: Rahul : Everything else
8: Choose the word that matches you at the most: Creative, Smart and Hard Working? Please expalin us why?
A: PARITOSH : Depends on situation. When i have plenty of time i prefer studying things to their core and in lack of time, creative & smart thinking is aimed for.
B: Rahul : I am not at all creative or extremely hard working. But I prefer to use my brain wherever possible because I think with better understanding and little hard work you can achieve great things. It also saves you from performing unnecessary actions.
9: If you could choose one superhero power, what would it be and why?
A: PARITOSH : There is no point in thinking of something which is fictional. Dream about things you can actually do and aim for them.
B: Rahul : Dexter’s Knowledge, if you know everything no work is difficult for you.
10: Mention some incidents when you laughed yourself out? (No problem if you don’t have any)
A: PARITOSH : Too personally to share. Meet me in person and I might share with you !!
B: Rahul : When I accidentally tweeted (publically) a lot of direct messages (extremely confidential) to my friend.
11: A word for the fellow bloggers.
A: PARITOSH : I am fairly new to blogging. However in this little time I have learnt and experienced a lot. First of all, never aim of making money from your blog initially. Just focus on writing quality content and promoting it. Money will DEFINATELY come with time. Secondly, running a blog isn’t a difficult task (specially for non-professionals like me). Google the problems you face and solutions will pour in. I learnt everything from Google (setting up wordpress to theme customization) even though I hadn’t heard of the terms wordpress, php, hosting, CSS, HTML at the time of starting my blog.
B: Rahul : I don’t have much to say but blogging is a very interesting platform if you want to speak your heart out. It is not always about money, sometimes it’s for one’s interest on the topic. I loved to do new tricks and tweaks with my system before but it feels even better to share it with others and get praised.
