This Day is Nokia day because we have a bunch of news regarding Nokia. Nokia today announced the Nokia N9 (Nokia N9-00) smartphone in Singapore. The MeeGo features a 3.9-inch AMOLED Gorilla Glass screen, 8MP Carl Zeiss wide-angle camera with dual LED flash, 16GB or 64GB storage, and more. The phone will also have NFC capabilities, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS.
The body of the Nokia N9 is made from unibody polycarbonate material. There are no front-facing buttons at all. You unlock the phone by just double-tapping the screen.
On the software side, the phone has a UI that is designed to make use of different swipe gestures, a browser built on Webkit 2 technology, the latest Nokia Maps, Drive, Dolby Digital Plus support that turns any regular stereo audio into personal surround sound on any headphones.
The Nokia N9 will be available in three colours – black, cyan, and magenta with 16 GB and 64 GB storage options. Pricing information of Nokia N9 is yet to be announced by Nokia.
