Orkut still leads Facebook with 2 Million Users in India

Latest statistics from comsource has revealed that the world’s top social networking site facebook is still 2 million users away from becoming the top social networking site in India. Orkut started its dominance ever since it was launched in 2004 and continues its lead with a very high competition from facebook and the other local rivals.

Orkut has nearly 19.7 million users in the sub continent while facebook bagged 18 million users. Reports also show that facebook is very keen to take the first spot in the country that has rich internet user base.
Google on the other hand is also keen to hold its position to stay on top by introducing new features that attracts the Indian audience. Let’s see if the search engine giant can hold on for one more year.

Basically Google does not need to compare with orkut and facebook I think because it is other thing, and it cant be comparable, Google owns the internet.
where as facebook and orkut thing stand you may be right that orkut is leading till now, but I think facebook will defeat it soon, because I personally saw some interesting features in it.
