Samsung has got a great hype in the phone and even in smart phone world. It has recently launched its latest smartphone “Galaxy Note” in India at a press event in New Delhi. The mobile phone was first unveiled during the IFA 2011 event in Berlin, Germany.
The device has brought a new trend in the market. It has brought us the functionality of a smartphone and the convenience of a tablet. It puts us in a dilemma that in which category the device should fall into.
The device comes in a giant size of 5.3 inch screen(largest till now by Samsung) and that to HD super AMOLED multi-touch display which renders you a resolution of 1280*800 pixels(285 ppi pixel density) which is more than enough to let you experience the joy of crisp and amazingly smooth graphics laying the super cinematic effect all around.
Samsung’s AMOLED display has become the love of all because of its eye-glueing saturation and contrast. It renders an impressive experience due to its vivid display. With its mammoth size it runs on Android2.3.5(Gingerbread) operating system.
It is quite similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S|| but slightly larger and heavier. Its dimensions are 146.85*82.95*9.65mm and weighs 178gms.
The device is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery,which controls the whole burden of the device. This powerful battery powers the huge screen (in terms of size as well as the pixel count) and the ultra fast CPU.

Coming to the memory or the storage area, the device presents to you a 1GB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 16GB which can be expanded upto a limit of 48GB with the help of microSD card.
Apart from the vivid display and dynamic form factor, Samsung Galaxy Note also provides you the freedom to capture and create ideas anywhere using a stylus, the Smart Pen, which is much more than the ordinary stylus. This smart pen featured by Samsung ,has an advanced input technology clubbed with full touch screen to create a unique mobile input experience.
This smart pen’sfunctionality is deeply woven in the Galaxy Note’s applications.
Samsung has also stepped ahead in providing its users exciting and new apps. It has announced the launch of “S-Choice” category of Samsung apps. These applications are specially tailored for the Galaxy Note’s smart pen feature. The apps list includes the Splanner-a smart scheduler that takes the initiative and behaves like a professional planning tool, SMemo-a note taking app and several other useful and exciting APPS.
This smart tablet in phone’s avatar is studded with an 8 megapixel rear camera featuring LED flash. It can shoot full HD videos of 1080p at 30 frames per second. It also sports a front facing ie., the secondary camera of 2mega pixel for video calling and also for video shotting.
Not only the camera, the sound quality is a delight. It’s sound quality is crisp and clear . The music player stuffed in, with sound Alive feature which enhances audio.
The earphone provided is also of decent quality. It supports a stereo FM radio with RDS. Apart from audio the video quality is also great,it supports various formats like MPEG-4,H.263,H.264 codecs.
