Well, may people out there are waiting for the Google Android Gingerbread update for the Galaxy S smartphone. Well, the company has officially announced it recently. So, the smartphone users can update their handsets in couple of weeks time from now.

The news came out from a tweet from Android Central where they claimed that one can expect the update very soon. However, no release date was mentioned.
Ginderbird update has already been leaked out for Motorola Driod 2 and Driod X. HTC’s devices like ThunderBolt and Droid Incredible are also expected to get the update soon.
