Samsung is the brand name of “today”. It is blossoming devices one by one with great celerity, and the quality too is undoubtable. Recently it has launched many tabs like Galaxy 10.1, Galaxy 7.7 and here is another one added to the list-Samsung Galaxy Tab-8.9. It has been just announced and will be released in the third quarter of 2011.

However attempts are instantly visible regarding the stripped off size and bulkiness i.e., it is much more slim,sleek and lighter from the other tabs especially Galaxy-10.1 by Samsung.

The screen offer high pixel density ,high colour display with various viewing angles.

It features a SIM slot which can accommodate any regular size of 2G or 3G sims . You can switch to voice calls over 2G and video calis on 3G network, however this is a major step ahead in the field of competition, as this features’s presence is not seen in Motorola Xoom or the Apple ipad.
One thing which lacks is much essential keys on its body, but still it includes basic buttons like power key, 3.5mm headset jack and microphone and the connectivity pins. Also includes a TV output to enjoy affluent media on HD devicies.
SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE:
Works with Honeycomb 3.0 Android Os and is powered by Google. You can browse the apps market place and even install those apps which can be paid or free apps. It owns a number of free apps from Samsung Apps gallery optimized especially for Galaxy 8.9 tab.

This tab comes in three varities if we look at the internal storage -16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB. This tab weights 470 gms with 230.9 *157.8mm.
As it is compatible with 2G and 3G it includes GPRS with EDGE, HSUPA,HSDPA 3G connectivity at 21 Mbps. It features WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, even includes WiFi hotspot sharing. The device comes with pre-installed apps like Google’s search,G-mail,maps,YouTube, Calendar,G-Talk,picasa as it runs on Android OS.
It supports various types of audio and video formats..

It supports Adobe Plus 10.2 which can easily and beautifully render you flash contents. Apart fro all this ,it even incorporates features like Quick office HD editor and viewer which can easily view and edit office files including Word,Powerpoint and Excel.
CAMERA: It is endowed with 3.15 mega pixel rear camera supporting auto focus, LED flash. It renders you a video recording at 720p.

PRICE: As mentioned earlier the three variants of this tab according to its internal memory storage are under different price tags. However,there are no price details available till now but a slight idea of the price of 3G tab being greater than that of the wi-fi one is there.
