Samsung Latest Tablets – Galaxy Tabs 8.9 and 10.1

Hey gadget lovers, great news for you all. Samsung just announced two new tablets, the Android 3.0 Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1. Samsung claims that both these tablets are world’s thinnest tablets. Both these tablets are 8.6mm thin, which is about 0.2mm thinner than the Apple iPad 2. The Samsung Galaxy Tabs 8.9 and 10.1 support both 4G and WiFi. The company is hoping to launch the tablets very soon this year and many websites claim that these tablets will go on sale in the US on June 8.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighs about 1.31 pounds(595g) and its thin design is the standout features for this device.
The other specifications of the tablets include HD displays and and front end and rear end camera. As mentioned earlier, the tablets have a dual-core 1GHz processor, a high-resolution WXGA 1280×800 pixel display, and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi.
MicroSD card slot for up to 32GB card is also provided with both the models. The 3Mp rear-facing camera has LED flash and the front-facing camera is a highly has a 2MP camera. The device also adds benefits such as gyroscope, accelerometer, digital compass and ambient light sensor.
What’s more, both these models are available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions. The GalTab 10.1 is available in 16GB and 32GB for $499 and $599, respectively. The 8.9 will cost 16GB for $469 and 32GB is $569.
Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support, and Quickoffice HD Editor for managing office documents via Android are also included in the tablets specifically for office users.
