Sony is the brandname  that is known for its standard of he feature phones. It develops the hype of a smartphone near the feature phones.

Now, Sony Ericsson has brought us another such device-The Sony Ericsson Txt Pro, which takes its inspiration from its own Xperia mini Pro, with the same design. It has a similar slide-out QWERTY keypad accompanied by a 3 inch touchscreen.

This phone is specifically dedicated to the heavy texters all around. It provides heavy social networking integration too.

The Sony Ericsson Txt Pro is a GSM handset supporting a 3 inch TFT WVGA touchscreen display rendering a resolution of 240*400 pixels. It does have the scratch resistant property.

The screen is responsive enough,it is as though it loves the human touch, its fingerprints, smudges from the core of its heart…as it responds to them at an alarming rate.

Apart from the screen, the design of the device is very compact and smooth to touch. It is ofcourse not the thinnest with a waist line ie.,the thickness of 0.71 inches or say 18mm. It weighs exactly 100gms.

It is a slide phone with a full QWERTY keypad. The sliding mechanism seems to be tough, solid and durable. You can pop it out or close it as many times seeing its solidness. The half-circle home button in the front with the shining brand’s lgo gives a special effect to the handset. It also has an auto rotate, the moment you turn the phone horizontally, the touchscreen also rotates with it providing you the luxury of easy typing every second.

Being a networking phone, connectivity should be like breath to the phone. And the device do provide seamless connectivity,it comes with WiFi, A2DP Bluetooth, microUSB.

The phone isn’t just limited to texting and networking features, It very well gets into the attire of a music phone. The inbuilt Sony Ericsson music player accompanied with the media player takes you to a complete different world, with its crystal clear sound. In addition it carries with itself the TrackID music recognition that controls your tunes and help them sort, search ,listen and share songs. It  has a very special feature called the clear Stereo, which sets  well defined left and right sound channels in order to prevent sound leakage. The list doesn’t ends here, it also brings to you a media browser which conveniently lets you browse your music.

The device looks no less than a smartphone and the bst part is that it is an affordable device.

It sports the corner Touch UI which makes your phone an extra smooth affair. The phone is alert to your taps and touch in a very elegant manner. It do sometimes lag over the menus but altogether a good product.

You are provided with a virtual T9 on-screen keyboard if you dont wish to use the QWERTY keypad attached.

Even the contacts are presentedto you in the friends app with an extra layer of social networking integration to the standard phone number or emails of contacts. All you need to do is just grant it access to your facebook/twitter accounts with the help of setting menu and there you are! ready to reach all your buddies via those network.

It sports a 3.2MegaPixel fixed focus camera but sadly it lacks the flash. However the video quality isn’t that great it just supports the record and stop buttons and no other settings. The video quality is poor QVGA or say just 320*240 pixels, which is good only for viewing on the small 3 inch screen.

The multimedia playback is also not of that hype ,due to its restricted small 3 inch screen. However it supports MPEG-4  encoded video of resolution 240*400pixels.

The loudspeaker on the back of the phone originates loud and clear sound.
