How to Transfer Files From Google Chat

Well, this is one of those features Google didn’t care about for a long time. But now, you are almost free to use and transfer your files from your Gchat. Here are some more details for you.

Google recently introduced file transfer feature for its Ghat. If you are a Gchat user on orkut or iGoogle then you should be able to sent files via send file options in the chat. Here is a snap shot that should help you better understand how to transfer files on Gchat.
Because you can always transfer a file via email using Gmail, this feature is not available in the Gchat linked to Gmail. So, don’t check for this option when you are in Gmail chat. This is feature is launched officially by Google on 29th of march 2010.

Finally….. file sharing in Gmail! earlier i had to use soething like filesend to share files!

@ Geek with an iPhone, I guess its because you can always attach and send files using compost mail in your gmail. Why would u need attach file feature in gmail chat?
