TweetDeck – Manage Facebook Status and Tweets at Once Place

I have started using Intel AppUp Center applications for quite a while now. Its a great place to collect free and paid desktop applications with ease. AppUp installer is all free and you can install it like most other software applications in windows 7. Give it a try if you never tried it yet. Let me talk about tweetdeck for a while now.

TweetDeck app is available at android market and apple store too. Its one of those highly used app by mobile and tablet pc users. I managed to find the same here at Intel AppUp center. This beautiful app allows you to manage both your tweets and facebook status at a single place. It allows you to manage more sites too, but I manage only couple of them and it works really great for me.
Installation process is pretty simple. You need to get the AppUp installer, which is free of-course and install it on your windows 7. On the top right corner, search for TweetDeck and you should see the app in the search results. I’ve included a snapshot below. Because I’ve already installed the app, the snap shows “Launch” button or else you will see Install button. Click on image to maximize it.
You might need adobe air to get this app working. You are asked to download and install the same, go ahead and install it. Once adobe air is ready, you can go and install TweetDeck.
Now, here is how the first screen looks like. You should use your twitter username and password or facebook username and password to get started.
I used my twitter account to login. Once you login you should see 4 columns which shows (All friends tweets, people who mentioned in a tweet, direct messages and tweetdeck messages). You can also add or remove a column by clicking on the small “+” button on the left hand top corner. Compose update and quick profile buttons are included on either side of the “+” button. TweetDeck not only allows you to update twitter or facebook account with text tweets or statuses but it also allows you to add pictures and videos taken right from your webcam. You can also set the geo-location from which your tweet or status came from.
Bottom Line: Its a beautiful app to have if you want to manage both facebook and twitter accounts at one place.
It is just one of those cool apps available at Intel AppUp Center. You can find many more out there. So, why don’t you just go out there and give it a shot.
