Which One to Buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 or iPad2

If you are here, then you must be thinking about buying a tablet PC, and if I’m right then you must be a bit confused about which one to buy in between Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 and iPad2. If that’s really the case then I should say, you are at the right place to find out the answer.

Now, here I’m in the process of justifying why I picked up Samsung Galaxy Tab rather than iPad2.
Display:
I love Tablet pc’s that comes with a bigger display. Samsung Galaxy Tab has 10.1-inch High Definition LCD display where as iPad2 has 9.7-inch LED display. Now, because Galaxy Tab has a larger display it can display a resolution of 1200 x 800 where as apple can manage only 1024 x 768 resolution.
Now, that’s +1 to Samsung Galaxy Tab 750.
Processor:
The apple’s tablet hosts dual-core A5 chip which gives good speed. Now, galaxy tab has 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 Processor which also gives better speed along with 3D Graphics and vector images.
+1 for Samsung Galaxy Tab 750.
RAM:
iPad2 has just 512MB of RAM where as Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 comes with 1GB RAM. Now, that’s what you call a big plus.
+1 to Samsung Galaxy Tab 750
Internal Memory:
Apple’s iPad2 comes with a choice to have 16GB, 32GB and 64GB internal memory where as Galaxy tab has options to choose between 16GB or 32GB. Personally speaking, I don’t mind using a 32GB version because that’s more than enough for any tablet.
Now, that’s the first +1 to Apple iPad2.
CAMERAS:
Samsung Galaxy tab 750 comes with a 2 MP front facing camera and a 3 MP rear camera with 720p recording. However, Apple has managed to fix a 0.3 MP from camera with a 1MP rear facing camera for ipad2.
+1 to Samsung Galaxy Tab 750.
Width and Weight:
Samsung Galaxy tab 750 is both thin and light when compared to iPad2. Technically speaking, Galaxy Tab 750 is 0.01 inch thinner than ipad2 and galaxy tab weights1.24 lb when compared to apple iPad 2’s 1.33 lb.
+1 to Galaxy tab again.
Service Centers:
Here comes one of the most important point why I opted to choose Galaxy tab 750. Samsung has way too many service centers in India when compared to apples. Now, that comes in pretty handy if your device gets into some kind of trouble in the early stages or after using it for a year or two.
So, one more +1 to Samsung Galaxy Tab 750.
Bottom Line:
I personally feel that Samsung galaxy tab 750 has way too many plus points when compared to apple’s ipad2. I would recommend Samsung galaxy tab 750 for sure if you ask me which one to buy. However, when it comes down to you, your lifestyle, and your requirements, only you can choose the best tablet pc you want.

Hey harsh, I didn’t check that buddy, but galaxy tab 750 is too good for me even when compared with market leader ipad2. If you ask me, just go for galaxy tab 750.
What is the difference between bettel new tablet and samsung tab? Beetel tablet comes for 9999 rupees and is 3 times cheaper than samsung tab. Is there any reason why I should stop buying beetel tab and think about samsung tab.
@priya, I guess Beetel Magiq is what you are talking about. Well, that’s a low end tablet and it comes with android froyo 2.2. U get android honeycomb with samsung galaxy tab and it has multi tasking capabilities too.

That’s all I can show you right here. You simply can’t compare these two tables. If you don’t have money to get galaxy tab, then go for magiq. If you do have money and wondering which one to buy, then you are simply wasting time. Just go for samsung galaxy tab.
It is not about money, its about the devices i am asking about.
Any way, what about ipad2? Lot of people say it is a really good and you say its not a good .

I never told ipad2 is not good. I just told that galaxy tab is better than ipad2. Apple’s device has good features, fingers crossed for that point, but galaxy tab is looking better to me.
I want to buy ipad2 and gift it to my dad from more than 5 months. Today I managed to get sufficient money to buy ipad2. Now I am confused after reading this website and cannot decide what to buy. Is galaxy tab really better than ipad2?
@james, Well, if you ask me, them I would say ipad2 is good and galaxy tab is better than ipad2.

mTab is not the best tab is a good tab i would say. If you want to go for a best tab then choose in between (Samsung galaxy tab 750, ipad2, xoom). They are a bit costly but they are still worth buying.

Hey priya, I think you have made up your mind to get galaxy tab which is a good move. But, unfortunately I don know where you can get it from offline store. Buy if you want to buy it online, you can check out flipkart. They are very good and they deliver products quickly. No shipping charges so that’s a double plus.
I stay abroad and would like to buy ipad2 for having video chat with my parents in india on facetime, after reading the specs of samsung galaxy tab 750 I m thinking to buy it but how can i video chat as easy as facetime.
Well my two cents on this compare done. Mere hardware compare does not end the story. How about the following:
1. Number of apps available
2. Touch screen responsiveness.
3. Battery backup and optimization
3. Wifi , 3G connectivity
4. crash recovery (which i find is a rare case on my iphone)
5. Manufacturer’s commitment to support the product with updates etc.
I do accept that apple products are constricted in some ways, take bluetooth for example. GSM calls (though cumbersome from tablets) are not available on the ipad2, but preferred in some situations.
Music and video library is only thru itunes. All said, the touch screen response, the app executions, clarity etc is the best.
The metal base adds to weight but are truly useful in minor mishaps. I have dropped my device a few times. Most of the apple
products seem to run forever.
And the unclaimed “Status Symbol” tag.
